Below are all the policies by which we strictly adhere.  

Acute Angle Wines ships to the following states:

Alaska, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
It is Acute Angle’s policy not to ship to certain states where direct shipment is prohibited. Please contact your local alcoholic beverage control agency for further information. In addition, other restrictions may apply as some states limit the quantity and type of products that may be shipped to an individual address. Acute Angle makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship into any state outside the State of Illinois. All wine is sold in the State of Illinois, and the title passes to you in Illinois at time of pick up by a common carrier.
By placing an order with Acute Angle, you represent and warrant that you are and will remain in compliance with all laws, statutes, ordinances and similar regulations governing alcoholic beverages. You further represent and warrant that you are not, and are not required to be, licensed or otherwise approved by any local, state or federal regulatory, legal, governmental or any other similar authority to own, sell, distribute, or otherwise deal in alcoholic beverages.
If we cannot fulfill your order we will contact you. We try not to ship product over a weekend, so if your order is received and cannot be delivered by Friday, it will be shipped on Monday. Acute Angle reserves the right to delay any shipment for reasons including adverse weather conditions or other conditions that, in our judgment, may affect the quality of the wine being shipped. We ship via UPS Ground. Weekend delivery requests may have additional charges. UPS emails tracking numbers after the packages are shipped. Please direct all shipping questions to
Please inspect all wines immediately upon receipt. Please note any shortage or damage before signing the delivering carrier’s receipt and notify Acute Angle Wines immediately. Failure to meet these criteria will result in you forfeiting the right to pursue a claim. Returns will be processed on a “per occurrence” basis.
In the event of any dispute regarding your order, you agree that your sole and exclusive remedy will be a refund of the purchase price, and Acute Angle hereby disclaims any and all incidental or consequential damages.
Acute Angle hereby expressly disclaims any and all warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.
Force Majeure
Acute Angle Wines shall not be liable for any failure to meet our stated obligations as a result of circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Shipping Containers
Our system will estimate your shipping charges, if you click on ship or pickup. Actual shipping charges may vary when we consolidate your order. Some items require special packaging. We will email or call you with any shipping charge adjustments for your approval.
Store Pickup
You can place an order online for pickup at Acute Angle. Please email us at if you wish to pick up an order. We will contact you to coordinate the pick up.
Legal Notice
All alcohol products are sold in Illinois and title passes to the buyer in Illinois. By placing the order, you authorize us to have the product shipped on your behalf by common carrier for delivery to your selected destination. This contract is a “shipment contract” for all purposes. Under the terms of sale, the common carrier is acting as your agent. You may desire to insure your shipment. Email us at for insurance rates.
Payment in full is due prior to the release of all purchases. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, personal or business check. If payment is received in the form of a personal or business check, then clearance of the check must occur for purchases to be released. Your order will not be processed until quantities are confirmed and shipping and delivery arrangements are made. Taxes will be charged at the locally prevailing rate for all purchases shipped, delivered, or collected within the State of Illinois. Taxes will be charged for shipments outside of the State of Illinois only if the destination state requires those taxes to be collected. Acute Angle makes no warranty regarding, and expressly disclaims any knowledge of, and does not provide any advice regarding, the tax laws of any state other than the State of Illinois.
Delivery of Alcohol Packages
Delivery can only be made to an address where an individual at least 21 years old can sign for the shipment during regular business hours. Products can be shipped to a place of business or residence. We cannot ship to a P.O. Box.
Acute Angle may be able to deliver locally in the Chicago area. Please contact us if you would prefer to have your order delivered locally. Any local delivery must be received by an individual at least 21 years old.
Warning: Certain states expressly prohibit the direct importation of alcohol and violation can be punishable as a misdemeanor or felony. Please note that some states do not allow residents to receive wine shipments from out-of-state sources. Acute Angle makes no warranty to know about or to offer advice regarding the laws of any destination state other than the State of Illinois.
Age Verification
By placing an order you certify that you and all other recipients are at least 21 years of age. At the time of delivery the order recipient must sign an age verification receipt stating that they are at least 21 years of age and must present a valid drivers license, military ID, passport or State ID for identification.
Order Processing
You will be notified by email that we received your order. If the items you ordered are out of stock, we will contact you. Tracking numbers are sent to you by email from UPS. If you contact us please include the order number. We reserve the right to limit quantities of any item ordered.
Credit Card Charge
When your order is complete and ready for shipment your credit card will be charged.
The City of Chicago and Cook County tax (CCT) on alcohol is based on product type and alcohol by volume (ABV). As an example, the CCT on a 750ML of wine 14% ABV is 11%.
If any communication from this web site is not in conformity with any jurisdiction rules and regulations governing solicitation, advertising, shipping and/or transacting business in such jurisdiction, then such communication and any offers made herein in connection therewith, shall be void to the extent prohibited by or inconsistent with any law.
